Music has always been the creative drive for Kat within her work. Especially Album art as it's something that’s always interested her as she believes that the visuals in music videos and album covers helps to elevate the conceptual endeavour of the music. Souls of Mischief, Kid Cudi, Biggie, Lil Uzi, Young Thug and Tribe Called Quest are all artists whose album art she admires.
Kats main medium of choice is collaging. When creating her work she usually doesn't have an exact idea of what she wants the final outcome to look like. Her process starts by choosing her favourite individual images, fonts and textures and seeing how they come together in the process. Working digitally has helped her creative process as its allowed her to make mistakes which often becomes part of the final outcome.
